In Elisa’s International Digital Services, you can join a multidisciplinary team that is harnessing data and AI to overcome issues arising from wind and solar becoming the main forms of energy production. As a Senior Software Developer, you would bring your expertise on developing user friendly software integrating complex mission critical software systems to the team and enable us pilot and scale the new solutions to commercial reality.

What the role is all about?

You will be designing and developing code and deepen understanding of technologies to build up comprehensive and high-quality distributed system relying on cloud architecture in the technical domain of Smart Energy Solutions concentrating on our Residential Product.

What do we expect from you?

• You thrive with React, TypeScript/JavaScript and other front-end technologies, especially in the context of consumer applications (mobile and web). You are also familiar with Python. 
• Solid experience in modern software development (DevOps, Test Driven, Agile, clean code) building scalable products especially for consumer applications. 
• You are a team player, self-starter and have experience working in an agile team
• Experience with AWS, highly distributed systems, ML/AI, IOT devices and energy market solutions is a big plus

Here are some of the techs we’re using: React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Pytest and other testing technologies, REST, Messaging technologies,  Asynchronous development, AWS, Machine Learning, Databricks, GitHub Actions

All the experience from these techs will benefit you but we are always looking for new techs and ways to do stuff. 

Most of our team is based in Helsinki, but like the rest of the elisians, we can work flexibly (in southern Finland).
